My World Coin Backlog

Coins were the first “one from every country” item I started collecting. I randomly stumbled on this Reddit post, where a user was showing their meticulously organized world coin collection.

It was the middle of the pandemic, and I needed something to do. I think coins are neat. I love sorting and organizing. I am interested in learning about other countries. I decided to go all in.

I ordered two 5 pound grab bags of world coins from ebay, for around $40 each. They showed up, and I discovered that 5 lbs is a LOT of coins. I decided to break things down into smaller cataloging chunks. I got some containers, and sorted everything by country.

I am now working my way through every country, cataloging each unique coin in Numista and adding them to 2×2 flips in a binder.
